Bus companies, local government and supporting organisations across Britain are celebrating their shining success in the 2015 UK Bus Awards which this week reached a momentous milestone as it announced the winners of its 20th annual competition.
The scheme has played a key role in raising the profile of buses, reflecting and shaping the landscape in which services operate and of course, in recognising and rewarding the achievements of the bus industry and inspiring others with winning approaches.
Reading Buses struck quadruple gold by winning the much-coveted title of UK Bus Operator of the Year award after qualifying as Top Shire Operator.
Willingness to try new things impresses judges in 2015 UK Bus Awards
The first step to celebrating outstanding talent and hard work of bus operators, local authorities and PTEs across the UK took place today – as the list of finalists was revealed in the 20th year of the prestigious UK Bus Awards.
Over 100 industry representatives gathered at the Wythall Transport Museum in Worcestershire to celebrate being named as Finalists in this year’s competition. The 97 finalists were selected from more than 250 entries, across 19 categories. The event put the spotlight on the outstanding achievements, inspiring talent and tireless dedication of the people and companies involved in running bus services.
