From the major revamp of the bus network with the use of extensive route branding, to innovations such as working with Scania to develop the world&#8217;s first gas powered double, the plaudits have never stopped. Mark has also contributed to the wider industry through his involvement with CPT and Album, where he&#8217;s been Chairman and on the executive for ten years. He played a very active part in formulating policy and put together Album&#8217;s response to consultations on the recent Transport Act. He&#8217;s also Chairman of Traveline, which he&#8217;s steering through changes to its funding and structure which has significantly reduced the call for funding from the industry and has put it in a great position to help with the government&#8217;s pursuit of open data. In his personal life, Mark has run a fund raising group with his wife, Natalie, for Muscular Dystrophy UK, inspired by his daughter being one of seventy thousand children and adults affected by this condition in the UK.
