Stephensons of Essex is celebrating having been crowned Top Independent Operator at the UK Bus Awards 2017 held in London today.
The company took gold, fighting off competition from across the country. They also won bronze in the Bus Operator of the Year category which recognises the ‘best in show’ from winners across the board.
The Top Independent Operator award recognises bus companies that provide an outstanding service and are truly committed to their customers and employees.
The UK Bus Awards 2017 honoured Steven Salmon, a highly respected industry leader, today by presenting him with a highly coveted Services to the Bus Industry Award.
Steven was presented with the award at a glittering ceremony attended by his colleagues and peers. The award recognises the significant and sustained contribution Steven has made to the success of the industry over the past 36 years.
Transport for London (TfL) is celebrating today having taken gold at the prestigious UK Bus Awards 2017 for its Bus Priority Programme.
The programme won Making Buses a Better Choice category, also known as The Peter Huntley Memorial Award. It is sponsored by Heathrow Airport and recognises projects and innovations which improve the attractiveness of bus services.
